Kurt Godwin has exhibited his artwork regularly around the Washington D.C metro region as well as numerous shows around the nation for nearly thirty years. Kurt received a Bachelors of Fine Art degree form the Corcoran School of Art in 1982. After earning an MFA form Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996 he has been employed by VCU as the Northern Virginia Coordinator (and art instructor) for the VCU/MIS Off Campus Art Program. On exhibit at the Athenaeum in Alexandria, Virginia, Philosophy of Nature is a body of work related to another solo exhibition nine years previous at the McLean Project for the Arts, Twelve Keys and the Glass House. Kurt lives in Northern Virginia with his wife Karin and dog Mitchell where he enjoys building flat stonewalls.
